i guess it would be a bit much at the moment for vray to work with the shaders at this point in time.. different archticture i guess.
i've read somewhere on CGarchitect forums that the R&D team at Discreet tested vray w/ their arch shaders and they worked, I can't find that tread at the moment - itwas even posted here at one point....
as natty said..some work okay, some don´t....and with that faked hightlight...it´s not the best solution because you have just little control over it (have to work with falloff etc.) but it´s a beginning. i can´t imagine that all arch. mats will work with vray in the future. many of them use the raytrace engine of max, regardless the fact that you use vraymaps etc. but some are very nice to use with vray....but hey, did someone the the "bricklayer" as a map ? i can´t find it anymore.
Now it's called Tiles. but it's the same, guess is simply fair, becasue people was uising it for anything but bricks, it's just, change xomthing form it's place and its lost :P
And yes, arch material... one material working witha all renderers, from mental ray, to radiosity and with VRay! the most shyny tipe of materials are the ones that not work, Glass, Metals, etc. the rough ones do, and User difined Does... so well, some space to play with.
