  • Light leak on SSS materials with GI

I'm having this light leak problem on some characters that I'm working on.

As you can see, there is an accumulation of red light forming on the palms of the hands.

The shader is a VRayFastSSS2 and I'm rendering using Irradiance Map as primary, and Light Cache as secondary. I've tried checking "Check sample visibility", but it didn't help much as seen from the renders.

    VRay 2.20.03, Max 2011.

    Thanks!

Can you attach a screenshot with the SSS2 material settings?
Also it will be best is you could upload a striped version of the scene.

What do you mean by a striped version of the scene?

You may have to increase your prepass rate. Also if the scene is at a wrong scale the sss effect can be wrong.

The problem was in the Color Correction map applied to the Overall Color slot. The brightness parameter with high values produces this effect.

Finally got the time to get back to this! The Color Correction map was indeed the issue. Lowering the brightness value fixed it.
              Thanks!
