  • Network rendering Problem..........Help

    Hi
I have an Issue with the network rendering.
I have the lastest build of Vray.
    Max 2013
    WP 7
I have run one job through Back burner 2013, and it worked.

When I run Distribution rendering, it starts looking for the other machine, and no log message till the end when the spawner crashes on the render slave.
I have the firewall turned off also.

Help Please I have tried everything, driving me nuts.

    Thank you

    phil

    Hi,
Can you give some more details about this issue.
Do you use identical V-ray versions on all render nodes?
Do you have stable "vraydummy..." on the slaves?
Can you post the "VRSpawner.log" files from the workstation and one of the slaves?

        Hi,
From the screenshot Log can be seen that the render slave has been started for the previous render.

        Is it right?
If you are trying to make second render right after the first one, such an issue is expected.

Do you have stable dummy, check the V-Ray spawner on the slave taskbar, you should have "vraydummy2013.exe"?
Are you logged as administrator to this PC?

Hi I am very sorry for the delay again.

I have to keep working to get the images out, as I am sure you are aware.

Yes I am using the correct vray dummy.
and I am logged in as administrator.

It is the process that gets me every time I have upgrade to the latest max, I have no network rendering for weeks as i have to go through this problem every year.
Seems to be very complex every time and always the back burner issue.
Can this be dropped out of the equation in any way?

                Hi,
Can you post the VRayLog.txt (in the Temp directory) file from render slave as soon as you get this error.
Also try to use the option "restart slaves on render end" and make another test.

                  Hello,
after a installation of a new max version and before you can use DR with backburner you have to run one time a dummy render job (just a few teapots) on every slave computer.
                  Best regards
                  Alex
