  • opacity map visible in viewport

    Hi,
we reverted to direct3d as having many problems with nitrous - but now or opacity maps are not visible in viewport (its working with 3dsmax standard shader....)

Is it still true that the vray shader doesn´t show opacity in tzhe viewport or do I miss some viewportsetting with direct3d?

This is still the case, yes. I've sworn to never touch viewport code again unless I really have to

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

As a fishy workaround you could use a shell material wich seperates the render from the viewport material.

good idea - but as i don´t need the "extravrayshaderfeatures" on these opacityobjects i think i can get along with standard material

Haha! Looks like Max has made it really nice to work with the viewport as a developer
