Yehaa my friends of Vray,
once again... I was reading a lot about the velocity pass, how to set it up and how to use it in multiple compositing software packages and plugins.
I thought it might be beneficial if we write all the settings and experiences in one thread !
I try to get started. Of course, within 3dsmax.
After Effects & Reel Smart Motion Blur:
1. I kept all settings at the standard settings
2. Loaded the rendered footage into AE
3. But I realized, I had to use 32bit.exr files
4. Set the Project Settings to Floating 32bit
5. Use the ExtracoR to shuffle out the Velocity Pass
6. Effects-3D Channel-ExtractoR
7. Set inside the Reel Smart MB Vector Plugin the Layer you have pulled the Velocity Pass
8. Adjust the settings
9. Done
That's been said, I did not change anything about the standard vray velocity settings and it worked for me.
So if you would like to add something, please feel free.
Would be great to continue on the Nuke & Fusion settings.
cheers,
Bernhard
