  • Can/should displacement be turned off when calc'ing animation pre-passes?

I have displacement on my brick walls and cobbled flooring. It looks OK in the still image renders. I now need to animate a camera.

Can I switch vray (3D) displacement off when calc'ing the passes and switch it on at rendertime, or will these cause issues/slowdown?
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

Most likely it won't be a problem.

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

If your displacement is not too much it will be fine. Brick walls don't go very deep so you should be fine with your scene
