  • Faceted artifacts when using bias on vray dirt

I posted on this forum rather than the max problem forum as I think this is a problem more due to the nature of how the shader works as I tried a similar 3rd party shader once which also did the same.

I get faceted artefacts when adjusting the bias when it is applied to curved surfaces. Can anyone explain what exactly the bias is doing to cause this? And is there a remedy?

Do you have any idea when this might be? It can be tricky to simulate drips.

        Hi,

Couldn't give a time range about this fix unfortunately.
I will make a note to the developers and will increase the priority if possible.
