  • my pics on other sites...

A guy told me that he found a pic from me on another site!

I will warn you about this firm. it's http://www.archimmagine.net/edifici.htm

If you post an image, place your logo somewhere in your image. I would guess in the middle of it would be best!

    Have a nice day!
    best regards

Send an email threatening a law suit and it should be removed pretty quickly

Watermark everything!!!!!! I have always watermarked final images prior to posting. I put my name right in the middle with opacity turned down.
So if they really want the image thier going to have to do some serious photo editing to remove it. Sorry maxxer that does suck. I would do just as mike kennedy said.

              Maxxer,

Don't know if it will work, but all of us could send them e-mails showing them how lame they are, if the mails volume is big enough maybe they will retire your render and think twice next time they feel like stealing other people work, of course if you agree.

that is pretty lame and disgraceful....it defeats the whole point of learning and building one's skills as a 3d artist.......that's with out considering the legal issues of using someone else's work....

                I'd do as mike_kennedy says...

perhaps we should send an email to these people as a mass protest in support of Maxxer

                    re

You know what...most of these folks portray themselves as multi-person operation when in reality it's one guy operating from the house who probably was originally a web-designer ( now w/o work) to begin with.

i think thats ok if they can produce the work and not use others work to advertise themselves

I sympathize with you Maxer. The same thing has happened to me earlier
this year. It absolutely infuriated me. The audacity that some people have is frightening. The 3D world is a small and thight-knit community. What's the chance that we wouldn't end up hearing about it?

I'd advise putting the "copyright" symbol on images aswell as your logo.

The worst thing about my experience was that the images (about 7 of them) weren't even that great. They were images done 2 years ago. It sounds silly, but if people are going to see my work on someone elses website, it should at least be work that's going to do me justice!!!!

I went to the link aswell but I'm not sure if any the images on there now are yours Maxer.
