  • Render Mask + Invisible VrayLight

    Hi!
I'm using the new Render Mask feature to make multiple material version of a kitchen floor. Once rendered the image I select the floor, activate the new feature and rerender (using the Solid Rock plugin IM+LC).
The light rig of this scene is composed by multiple planar VrayLight and one of them is a bit inside the camera view, but I check the "invisible" parameter and all works correctly It means that a vraylight is in between the camera and the floor, and that portion of image isn't take in consideration by the Render Mask feature.

Unfortunatley I can't move the vray light, the light rig needs to be so, anyway I can use the Render Region.. but, can be solved if I want to use the Render Mask feature?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

This is a known limitation of the Render mask selected feature - invisible lights(or any invisible or transparent geometry) block the render mask. As you've noticed you can use the render mask texture. You could also add the VRayLight to the selection but this will include anything behind the light too.

We are looking for some better solution to this problem.
