  • vrimg file size

    Hi,

Is there any way to know/approximate the final .vrimg file size before rendering (based on resolution, number of channels/render elements etc.)?
It seems that the data is compressed, since changing something simple like a texture in the scene can have a big impact on the size.

As you noted, the data is compressed, so it's really hard to give an estimate. It is possible to estimate the maximum possible size, but I don't know how useful this will be.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Not that useful I suppose. The idea was to be able to get an idea of render progress based on the current file size.

No hidden maxscript command or anything like that to toggle compression?
