UNC path setup

Hey,

Does anyone know an easy way to convert all asset paths to UNC? My new render farm at work requires it now and I keep forgetting to check that all assets are found through their UNC path before rendering.

There's a tick box in the files tab of the Customize menu > preferences dialog, top left.

and for the ones already loaded, just select all the ones with the same path, right click, set path, don't change anything but click ok. It will then convert existing ones to UNC

Yeah, that's what I had been doing - but newer materials kept loading in the old fashion. Hence having to check over and over (or realize once the render started)

Maybe Dave or Colin or one of those clever maxscript guys can give us a maxscript one liner to change all existing paths for an old scene to UNC?

Aye, but can't you just select the whole list and do a single convert to UNC?
