  • dark areas under roof ( exterior )

    I am new to Vray and have problem with dark areas under roof and balconies and I think its becouse of low settings for secondary bounces. Where do I control number of secondary bounces becouse I couldnt find it.

      Thanks. But what does it really means : 0.8
      It is much logical in Frender where you can set number of bounces that light ray does after first hit of direct light.

        here's a brief explanation.

        Secondary diffuse bounces

        Multiplier - this determines the effect of secondary diffuse bounces on the scene illumination. Values close to 1.0 may tend to wash out the scene, while values around 0.0 may produce a dark image.

        Secondary diffuse bounces method - this parameter determines how VRay will calculate secondary diffuse bounces.

        None - no secondary bounces will be computed. Use this option to produce skylit images without indirect color bleeding.

          the depth parameter is the "bounces" setting...
