  • force 2-sided problem

    Hi,
    I have a big trouble.
I have modelled in rhino and then i have exported in dwg into max.
When I render I see some surface black. So I check on force 2-sided in "Render scene". In this way I can see all the surface but this works fine only if I use standard material, not if I use vray material. What can I do?

    Thanx

The problem is errors in the imported mesh, apply a "stl check" modifier and you will see what they are. The most elequent solution is Power Translator from http://www.npowersoftware.com/trans/trans.html.

Here are some posts where it is discussed:

A search for "rhino" will produce some other solutions as well.

        thanx very much to everybody.

        I'll try Iges and npower.

But why doesn't vray fix this simple problem?

        bye
