shadow bias and cutoff for vray lights

quick question, what should these values be at, and are they units dependent? (mm, cm, m)

The cutoff is not scene dependent.

The shadow bias is, however and it is in the current scene units. Something like 2mm or the equivalent typically works well for archviz scenes.

great, thanks Vlado. When working with scenes of different units the bias value can sometimes get a bit messed up so wanted to check.

Yes, there is that. A value of 0.0 will work for many cases too and is independent of the scene scale, but it might show shadow artifacts on low-poly objects. Eventually I would like to remove it and somehow compute a proper value automatically.

Subdivs has no effect in Progressive Image-Sampler and V-Ray RT.
Shadow Bias and Cutoff parameters are taken into account from both Progressive and RT.
