  • Bad Geometry

I purchased a bed, but the texture seems to be damaged; maybe a mapping issue. What could cause this and even better, what can fix it?

First thought is flipped normals, but I'm not sure. Could be badly set up reflections too. It doesn't look like a UV bug, Can you post a picture of the material settings? Unless someone has a better idea

Is there a normal map applied? If so, gamma for the normal map must be 1.0 and not 2.2 (or something else).

Or normal map set to the wrong space. (world or tangent)

I ended up importing the FBX version and that one is good. Thanks!

it could be coplanar faces.....sometimes you would fine the base geometry under "fabrics" ...Most of them were simulated outside of 3ds max
