  • Baking zdepth into a render for cheap atmo?

How to describe this... Is there a way I can bake a zdepth pass into a render?

My goal is to add an atmosphere pass to a rendering without having to comp it in (without using atmospheric fog) I currently get the effect in Photoshop by increasing the offset in an exposure adjustment layer using the zdepth as a mask.

Which is usually always adequate. However, for this project I really need a solution where this effect is baked in straight from Vray.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

I tried VFB+, great little plugin. I don't see a way to adjust the exposure offset using zdepth, just DOF with zdepth.

I'm also curious - how do you achieve this with VFB+?

My memory about it was wrong. Sorry guys. Tried it again and it wasn't an option. Next round of beers is on me.
