It's been a long time since I've liked a release of Max, I went from 2014 to 2016 and while it was better it still has problems of its own even after 3SP's. Autodesk seems to be ok with just letting things rot on the vine, take Revit linking for instance, it's still broken in 2016 even though Revit and Max are supposed to have this tight integration. You can't tell me they don't know about it so why not fix it!!

We are thinking of upgrading to 2016, we are still on 2014 ATM.
Do you think it's worth it?
What are your major issues with 2016?

    Cheers

Well, maybe you can. I guess I do it all the time, so forget that. I was thinking Revit.

Tempting, however, it takes a good six months for things to work properly. 3rd party plugins have to recompile. If you do jump on board early, make sure you know you can't save backwards, so proceed with caution. I just moved to 2016 this month . I'm interested in 2017's new UI, so I might upgrade after the 1st SP, which usually takes a couple months. The last two 3DS MAX's had issues that kept it from being production worthy until the first SP. Heck, some might say with disappearing geometry, 2016 still isn't ready.

Is there any way to get to play with it earlier, if you are on an EDU license?
