idk if its just me but somehow setting up scenes and even the white balance seems more natural in corona? in vray out of the box with the same camera and white balance settings there is a difference in how natural the images look, corona has a more real life appearance and the lighting is alot more subtle will try to post some shots later to compare, Does anyone here seem also use corona?

i had an override material in both situations, so no materials were being used but a 128 grey but there is something to it, i need to find the time to test it and post it. and in both cases the vray sun and corona sun since its an interiorArchitectural and Product Visualization at MITVIZ

ok, i will try to test and see, i have also heard this from a few people i know who also use corona so i can only set aside a few hours using the same scene to run the tests and post some images, sorry if am upsetting any fans of vray or corona but idk i just have to see, with corona and vray now being the two top dogs and everyone grabbing a copy of both its worth a few hours of testing for myself that isArchitectural and Product Visualization at MITVIZ

You are only upsetting me I guess All in all, render engines work based off the same rendering equation... there is not much room for custom interpretation. Given the same input, they will generally produce the same output. Anyways, I'll post some tests of my own...

I'll speak strictly imho, but anyone who comes stating things like this without bringing hard evidence with examples demonstrating clear differences and also underlining why another renderer does it better, is really just throwing things out there into the fire to be burned...mitviz, if you really want true resolve with what you mentioned, you should do a bit more research and present something for the developer to compare and test with.Dmitry Vinnik

Here are two very quick 10 minute tests; grey materials, respective sun and sky systems. As you can see, there are some minor differences (the sky is slightly different), but overall, quite close.

am being picky but am wondering if these minute differences in the images are what changes the game later on, complete armatures and first time users are turning out really fantastic stuff on the corona forums the likes of which only few users here are able to reproduce based on the images i see being posted but also many vray users don't bother to post anymore either, so is the case for two studios i know and the guys that work there, so maybe this is why, well in anycase ama keep testing things outArchitectural and Product Visualization at MITVIZ
