A user at AREA Max just reported this:
---------------BEGIN QUOTE-----------------------------------------
I'm just trying out 3ds max 2017 with sp1 installed.
I'm using vray 3.40.02
I've created a simple scene with some spheres and a box and camera and light. Everything is fine at this point.
I then render the scene and everything is still fine and the render comes out as expected.
I then decide to up the segments on my sphere and box and the normal's on those objects go weird, in both the view port and and any subsequent renders.
however if I save the scene (with the problem normals) and then reload it then the normal are fixed again.
Is this a bug and is there a work around?

I can confirm the behavior and am just forwarding the info.
