The installer you sent is for Max2015. In my account on Cebas I can download a newer installer for Max2016, but that one also does not work for Max2017.
How did you get it to work under Max2017?
What exactly is PSD manager bringing to the table? Isn't it just taking the render elements and putting them in the right order with the right blending mode into a photoshop file?
I actually think VRay should be able to do this directly into some of the more popular composite formats like psd. Vlado? Surely that can't be much work...

But you have to assign a material id for that to work, no? Or it actually creates a mask for each layer? EDIT: Never mind, I see on their site that this is one of the advantages. It doesn't sound so good though to hear that the developer isn't responsive.
I think the forum isn't the place to go, he doesn't look there often. Maybe you can use the websites contact page.
That is not correct. I get an email every time someone starts a new thread. If something in the forum was not answered then it is just because that person also contacted me or Cebas via other channels (usually via email). For example Bobby asked for a 2017 version earlier this year while he already had access to a Beta vesrion (which he can not share) and so I sent him sensitive information via email.
In general there is not much traffic on the cebas forum because I do ususally answer questions via email or here. A problem with smaller plugins is always that there is not that much to discuss if things just work. So not many users will go there regularry unless they have an issue to solve. So in the end it is usually me answering questions anyway and not users among each other. So not much traffic over there is actually a good thing.
To answer the central question. A new psd-manager version that will also support 3ds max 2017 is in the works since a while and will be available later this quarter. There will be new stuff besides 2017 support that I hope you will enjoy (so not a free update this time). Sorry for making you wait.
