I really like psdmanager, I have a few clients that won't contract out unless the artist has it. Two thumbs up from me. Looking forward to 2017 version.

Serioulsy - the clients? Now that blows my mind.
psdmanager 4 is officially availabe since earlier this week:
The renders get heavily altered even after my post revisions and the retouchers are photographers and 2D artists in many cases, so they like to have a standard when it comes to file delivery. That's actually how I heard of it in the first place, I'm a big fan now.
psd-manager has the Match Render Output Filename option specifically for tools such as Batch Render, network rendering and other scripts. This way psd-manager can pickup whatever filename is set in the main 3ds max render dialog - it just changes file extension to PSD/PSB. If you want to only output a PSD and not something else like EXR/PNG there is also file format .xxx available you can insert there (this will not produce any .xxx files - acts just as a placeholder).
