I have been reading the threads about the new suggested workflow esp the one with the cheat sheet. I have done some testing on a small exterior scene that Imrecently completed using my old workflow with IRmap + LC.
I have reset by first choosing the default max scan line and now using the vray default BF + LC settings. I have been referencing the sample rate render element. I can get very good results but I will say it takes somewhere on the order of 4x longer to render versus my old settings.
I have two questions.
1) using bucket mode, the tool tip that appears when hovering over the max subdvs says to leave it at 100 and to then adjust the minimum shading rate or noise threshold as needed/desired. My understanding from the cheat sheet is that the only two things to be adjusted would be the max subdvs and noise threshold, NOT the min shading rate. Is the cheat sheet more inline with the new suggested workflow or the tool tip?
2) I notice after reset that the dynamic memory limit is set at default 4000. I am thinking it would be zero but my understanding of this setting is not very comprehensive. Any advice on that would be welcome.
Thanks in advance for any help!
