  • Animation settings BF+LC

    Hi,

I will go with my 1st little animation with BF+LC (an exterior, a simple sequence shot, about 1500 frames...)
BTW, the default settings are so great that I will not change anything... Will try to use denoiser (for the 1st time)

    My questions are :
    - about LC,how can I estimate how many subdiv. I will need ?
    - about Denoiser, if I just want to have my RGB element and RGB denoised (without noiseLevel,defocusAmount,...in fact without any render element from Denoiser), what are the settings ?

    Thanks in advance
    (Sorry for my bad english)

Hover over the LC values, then read the Tooltips. 3000 is good for animation. Retrace 8 is good for animation
    Kind Regards,

ok then, this is done !
And I have to say that... Vray 3.4 is really really great !! Thanks Chaos !
By the way, I had a weird problem with Vray Denoiser. I have some artefacts only with proxy that forcing me to not use Vray Denoiser frames.
Proxy disappears on certain frames.... Don't know why

That's weird. Is it a single particular proxy that exhibits this behavior? If so, does the same issue occur in a new scene with the same proxy in it?

It's really strange because it's about all the proxy in this scene (trees, stones, etc) but all is good with RGB color

I couldn't reproduce the issue here. Can you share the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can see what is going on (mention this forum thread in the message)?

                Thanks !
not really (NDA) but I will try to purge this scene (just keep all Vrayproxy and some other stuf), pre cal a new LC and if I've got the same problem, I will send you the scene.

A simplified, stripped down version will also work as long as the issue can be reproduced. Thanks rikou.

                    Thanks to you !
I tried to reproduce the issue but now all is ok (with the same LC because I don't think that it was something to do with LC)
The fact is that I don't render this scene... I sent it to a external render farm

Anyway, I will send you a part of the movie, you will see what I mean
