Had quick play with the exclusion setting, thanks Svetlozar.

Rens, I'll take a look at the blend material this afternoon.

The exclusions setting has given me the glass reflections & infinity I was after, this now allows me to begin building an frosted shader around the edges of the glass screen. Click image for larger version

      *Inspired by Rens approach*
You can also reduce this setup to 2 planes.
Plane behind the emissive object is a normal mirror material the plane after the emissive object has a 2 sided material on.
The backside has (facing the emissive object) has the same mirror material applied as the other plan and the front material is a glass material. Only thing outside the norm is an
unlinked Fresnel IO. Reflection IOR 1.6(or whatever) and refraction IOR is 1.01.

Inside the 2sided material check on multiply by front diffuse. This way at least the way I tried it the mirror material behind the emissive object won't reflect anything outside the construction.
      Cheers,
      Oliver
