Lens effects not rendering the same in 3.5??

    It pains me to say it, but the 3.4 version is wrong. It is not taking the camera exposure into account when computing the lens effects source and it thinks that the lights are 8 times brighter than they actually are. To get the same result in 3.5, you'll have to increase the brightness of the self-illuminated light material.

    On another note, turning off "generate GI" for the objects that have the self-illumination material will make your scene render faster and cleaner. We really need to make the self-illumination material do this by default...

      Not a problem Vlado your a busy busy man!!! Congrats on the Academy Award BTW!!!!!

      We will play with it on a test machine and do what you mentioned thank you again for your help as always!

          2nd this... it would be a big help. A simple checkbox in the material settings for "GI" like in the main vray material would be ideal. It's pretty much standard for me to add a VrayMtlWrapper to every Light Mtl and turn off Generate GI.
