Not saved or saved, but still noisy?

I tried it here with PNG output setup directly in Batch Render dialog and that seemed to work as expected.

hi, yeah it did not get saved for me, not sure why not, its stil noisy images coming out, its not that batch render does not work, its that the denoised image does not get saved, it seems to only work when its set in the save option in the common tab but i have many things in the scene so i need the denoised image to be saved via the batch render dialogue

Batch Render overwrites the Render Setup > Common Tab > Render Output filename, so that should behave the same. You mean it works when render your scene from the Render Setup dialog but not when rendering from Batch Render dialog? Maybe you can share the scene, but with just a teapot in it.

i will probably just make a video, i left it rendering on crazy high settings now, and yes it works when rendering from the rendersetup dialogue and not batch render correct, it works this way for me with any scene so not sure if i need to send a scene, it just does not seem to work with batch render, try lowering your default settings when you make the tests to see the noise and then add the denoise renderelement, setup to render in batch render and see what happenss

That's what I did, my simple test scene works in 3ds max 2017, V-ray 3.50.04, Progressive, Denoiser Element with Defaults

Yes that was it, seems that when Render mask option is enabled the 3ds max framebuffer isn't updated by V-ray - and that is what you are saving from. You need something that will save the V-ray framebuffer content.
(psd-manager does save the denoised result correctly for example, since it uses the V-ray framebuffer as a source and uses the render output filename set by Batch Render.)
