  • Removing main workstation from DR rendering Vray 1.46

Is it possible to remove the main workstation from rendering when using DR in Vray 1.46? I just want my slaves to render and not tie up the processors on my main workstation.

Any reply would be great as this is pretty urgent

    Cheers,

    Craig

At present, the client machine always takes part in the DR process.

    Best regards,

maybe it works queuing the render to another box with backburner?

          why not? backburner shouldn't notice.
if i wasn't that lazy i'd try it out.

i asked this question only a few days ago...

you cant remove the client from DR but ticking the option of 'low thread priority' will reduce the load on you workstation...

You can use the low thread priority or if you have a dual CPU machine you can set the affinity through the task manager for 3dsmax to use only 1 CPU.
