  • Distortion when rendering cube 6x1

    We got a weird problem, when rendering cubemaps for vr.

    Some parts of the cubemap is getting some strange distortion. You can also see that issue when watching the image in the vr headset.

    Anyone know whats happening there? The camera doesn't have any weird rotation values, just 90 degree in x-axis.

    Using Max 2019 and vray next in that particular scene.

    Just to nudge this thread, I'm getting the same exact issue. Max 2018 and Vray 3.6.04

      That's working as intended and shouldnt show up as distortion when viewing in stereo vr. doesnt for us.

      if you're only rendering one eye / non stereo for tests, it will look distorted.

        Huh, you are technically correct. The best kind of correct. I went back to look at some old scenes that we viewed successfully and that distortion is in there as well, just never noticed it.
