  • V-Ray uses only 50% of the CPU while rendering? This time 3ds max 32 thread system

As is started with Vray next a few weeks ago i also discountered the laggy behavior bug while rendering.
I did create the environment variable and set it to 31 threads which worked out fine.
But now i discovered that my whole machine just uses approx. 56% cpu power while rendering.
Is this the way it should be or is there something wrong here?

Is it the same 50% utilization with both the Progressive and the Bucket sampler?

        Hello,

From the screen shot it looks like you have 56 threads so if you want to render with one thread less then Max you should set the env. variable to 55 and not 31.

        Best regards,
