  • NEXT Update 1 glass

Has anything changes with reflections in the latest VRay Next? My glass is barely reflecting and nothing in my workflow has changed. My glass is a muddy dark gray. I’m talking exterior building glass.

Probably ticked something by accident. Post a max file with a cube (or teapot) with the culprit glass so we can have a look

It's been the last three projects. I'll look closer on this next project.

I have few glass materials that I made long time ago and haven't touched these since then, I used them for couple of recent project and can confirm that something is different now.. Thought I was going crazy
When I get to office will investigate more and compare to 3.6 .. will let you know how it goes

Can you post an example material and example render?
In a quick simple test I'm not seeing anything different
          Kind Regards,

I am making a small change to an interior I did four months ago. The interior has a pool and the water was reflective but transparent. I opened it up, made a small change to a wall and rendered. The water now has no transparency and my refraction element has nothing. Something definitely changed in Update 1. I'll post something when I get a chance.

Are you using a different HDRI for reflections in this scene?
It was probably related to the HDRI I used for reflection override in my scene.
I cannot reproduce this for now though..

Maybe related to your issue Bobby?

Yes, maybe. I'll try things without adaptive and see if it reverts back to the results I am used to. Right now, my reflective passes are useless, however, it seems like my specular compensates for it.
