However, I've checked the release notes here:
stable_3.6/20190206/release_notes_28898.rar
and it seems that bugs/improvements go only up until version 3.60.03
Is that correct?

Ok, the fix is working fine.

Release notes seem to be older than they should be.
The latest V-Ray version mentioned in release_notes.txt in installation archive is 3.60.03.
The release notes shown immediately after the installation are somehow different from the ones in the archive but still not up-to-date: "Build 3.60.05 (official) (15 November 2018 )".
A really minor issue but still adds to the confusion.
