Has anyone run into this issue? When I hit the render button, Vray renders some random ortho view evrn when you have the vray physical camera set to the view[port you are trying to render? I typically have to exit the file and get back in for it too work correctly again.

I get this often, too, for at least some months now. And it is always randomly deciding to render the top viewport. I never render from the top viewport, so could something else be the root problem? It's really annoying and can cause crashes. I might do 3-4 renderings from one camera fine, but suddenly when I go to the next camera, and press render, and it starts from the top viewport. At this point, no matter what view I try, it will render from the top viewport for at least 3 more attempts from any camera view.
Behavior seems unchanged using any button or F9...

Its a 3ds max bug I think rather then vray. Its choosing to render a different viewport from the quad viewport layout then your camera. To make matters worse the lock button for camera does not always work. If you set all 4 3ds max viewports to the camera, it should render correctly.Dmitry Vinnik
