I'm getting a lot of flickering fire flies with a leaf material I have on some Pine trees. The trees flicker like a Disney Christmas tree with flashing lights inside!
Through a lot of trial and error I've traced this to the Refract setting, and unchecking Affect shadows this cures the problem, although the tree's don't look as good.
For info the tree's are only flickering when they are backlit. A different camera angle which see's the tree's lit from the front results in no flickering.
Vray Next update 1.1
Settings:
BF + LC
LC at 1500
Min. subdivs 1, Max 100
Rendertime 17min
Noise threshold 0.007
Color mapping - Reinhard.
Sub-pixel mapping ON or Off
Clamp output 2.0 On or Off
Pretty much everything I've tried still results in pesky fire flies to be honest, apart from the Affect shadows mentioned earlier.
Hope this helps
