  • Vray 3.6.05: "Auto guess vertical tilt" does not work with DR

    Hello everybody,

the "auto guess vert. tilt" function with vray physical cameras does not work with distributed rendering. Only my main workstation renders the tilt correction correctly, the nodes ignore the auto setting.
Is there a way to fix this? (Or will I have to build around it and manually animate the tilt during the animations?)

I know, this may be no direct solution to you problem, but what happens if you render with Backburner. At least it could be a workarround until the problem is solved.

      Hello there,

thanks for the tip, but this won´t work for me. With backburner, every node takes around 2-3 minutes until it even starts rendering a new frame (file size is 3 GB) while with DR, the setup procedure only needs to be done once and then the animation continues with "pure" rendertime. I will then make manual keyframes for the tilt correction, which is a bit of a pain due to the length, but it´s doable.
Shame it´s a bug, that feature was much appreciated.

        Hello!

This issue is actually fixed in V-Ray Next.
        Thank you for reporting!

(Manually animating the tilt parameter should work in V-Ray 3.6 if you use V-Ray DR Spawner; but it will not work if you use DR with V-Ray Standalone due to export issue that is fixed in Next.)

        Best regards,
        Margarita
