Saving an image

Lately, when I save an image from the VFB, MAX crashes. Either it goes into Not Responding or crashes to a crash report.

what happens if you type the name "view 3" and press "enter" (instead of clicking on the thumbnail of the previous file)?

I can not pick an image and it saves. I'll see what happens if I type in the name.

When you get the crash report - Max will create a crash dump 3dsmax_minidump.dmp in your temp folder. Can you attach the dump here ?

Yes, I can type the name and save fine. Picking the image is still crashing MAX. Having said that, a lot of things crash MAX.

Before you click an image, try UNTICK "Preview" at the bottom of the save dialog, then click an image and see if you can save.
I suspect it's crashing when generating the preview of the image for some reason (you don't need the preview because you can already see the thumbnails)
