Ok, for my second problem, recently upgraded to Vray 5 on Max 2020 and I opened one of the scenes I made recently to test. It's a bunch of Tyflow fractures flying past a product. When I click render it enters into the light cache stage and the counter goes all the way up to over 596 hours estimated time. I've added a picture of the render dialogue.
It's using all Vraymtl materials, GI is brute force and Light cache is set to 3000 subdivs, bucket sampling is Min = 1, max = 8. Has a single VRayLight in the scene.
Rendered without issue before but now it sticks at the light cache till it crashes.
