1.47.02 Bug?

Just loaded a file done with 1.46.15 and hit render to see if the new version had changed -And I guess something did - This is a flash scene and I am now getting some wierd spots in the image - any idea why? New setting?

Some material thingy, I suppose, but it's hard to say right away what might be causing it. You can try to look at the vraylog.txt file to see if it says something useful.

Actually it turns out to be the vray flash light causing the problem - I had to make it invisible to the scene and it went away - it was fine in 1.46 did something change in 1.47 to cause this?

You know, For the flash thing to work, you need to move the light just above the camera. Otherwise as you can see in these pictures, you don't get any shadows.

No he's referring to a thread discussed in the image upload section, where a flahslight technique is discussed.

I thought the flashlight thing works wherever you place it, once 'store in irradience map' is not checked..
