Vray 5.1 - crashes with multiple scenes

Hi,

I installed Vray 5.1 a few hours ago and now I'm finding that quite a few of my scenes made with Vray 5.0 are crashing upon rendering. At first I suspected that it's due to using Override Mtl, but then I tried a few other scenes that don't use Override Mtl and they crashed as well. So I'm thinking it's not strictly related Vray Override Mtl and it's a broader problem?

Alright, I think I found the culprit! The scenes crash only if there are Forest Pack objects in them. As soon as I delete them, the scenes render fine. I'm using Forest Pack Pro v7.0.3 Beta. Would the issue go away if I install the latest official release of Forest Pack instead of the beta? This should be v6.3.1.

Hm do you think you can get me a crashing scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com? We test Forest Pack, but I'm not sure we tried the beta builds.

I found the same problem with RailClone Pro v4.2.1, but problem only with 1 reailcone object, if I delete it everything start to render. if I put this RailClone object into new scene it rendering

We're already working on the problem with ForestPro, thank you Alex_M for the scenes!

Regarding the RailClone Pro v4.2.1 case - I believe it may be a different issue due to instancing differences between the versions of the iToo plugins used, and therefore it may not be automatically resolved with the same fix. Mikhalenko , could you please share an excerpt of your RailClone scene so we could reproduce the crash and investigate the problem? Please, send it to me at margarita.stoeva@chaosgroup.com

You can re-download the new V-Ray 5 Update 1 installations from Chaos site now and enjoy rendering ForestPro and RailClone safely.
