  • IPR Debug Shading - Isolate Selected Glitch

I'm running into an issue where I want to view a selected material node using 'Isolate Selected' under the 'IPR Debug Shading' menu in the VFB, but only half of the IPR is showing the isolated selection. This has happened randomly before with other files, but I can't narrow down what causes it to occur only in certain scenes. If I open a new scene and start adding primitive objects, there is no issue. The issue seems to start once modifiers start being added to the geometry in the scene. Screenshot attached. I added a sphere to show it affects all geometry in the scene.

    ***Figured it out***
Provided 2nd screenshot showing the VRayLight in front of the camera is what causes the error. The light is also set to invisible. This brings up another issue. I have another scene file where the light is set to invisible, but a faint rectangle can be seen in the render in place of the light when environment fog is added.

Thanks for the IPR Debug Shading report. We'll see if this is solvable; I'll write again when I have more information. Regarding the fog and lights, this topic should provide clarity.

The reason for the effect is the fact that invisible objects are invisible only for the camera; in other words, they are still present in the scene for the IPR debug shading viewport.
