When I start 3DS Max it needs about 35 seconds to show the complete UI. But after that again the "hour glass" (blue ring) is visible and I have to wait one more minute till I can begin to open a scene. After a long time of investigation I found, that the Cosmos browser slows down the start of 3dsMax. In the end I found the hint in the Max Log file. Instantly I knew that the course was my absent Internet connection. I use to borrow the VRay licence to be able to work on my workstation without internet connection. After I connected the workstation to the Internet the"hour glass" is showed now only three seconds and the starting time is quite normal.
My question is: Is there a way to switch off the Cosmos browser as long I don't need it? Or can I prevent, that the Cosmos browser tests the Internet connection? Could you please remove the loading of the cosmos browser from the start up in the next hotfix?
