  • VRayScene *extremely* slow in viewport

    Hi all,

I have an issue with some (very basic) .vrscene files/objects in a 3DS max file. I have some super simple houses that I'm referencing & placing using the vrayscene importer/object and they are slowing the viewport down to a crawl (0.02 FPS on an RTX4000). When the .vrscene objects are deleted I can navigate the scene at over 100fps easily.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Should I abandon the .vrscene and just import the geometry instead?

I'm in 3DS max 2021 using DirectX 11 nitrous viewport. The graphics driver version is the latest: R460 U5 (461.92)

    Hi Macker

This is odd, can you share the .vrscene files in question so we can test in our environment?
You can forward them through our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread in the email, thanks.
