  • Denoiser and light mix

    Hello,

I was just trying the light mixer, and not sure if this is normal behavior or not:

I have two lights in the scene, an HDRI and a ceiling lamp. It looks like, when I turn the multiplier in the light mix of the ceiling lamp to "0" , so I turn it off, then the denoiser recalculates, but it leaves some ares without denoising.

This only happens with the vray denoiser, the nvidia and the intel denoiser work as expected:

Seems to work as expected both on CPU and GPU on my end. Could you share the scene so we can take a look? Send it via the contact form (or attach it here), addressing it to me in the subject, and including a link to this thread in the message.

      Hello,

I have the same problem when I turn off some lights in the Lightmix.
Is there a solution to this issue?

I noticed the areas where the noise remains are actually the ones burned by the lights that I'm turning off.
I'm attaching two tests as an example. (Default Vray Denoiser ON)

      - Test 01: Noise on wall lighting (that are turned OFF)
      - Test 02: Only Environment ON

Does it happen when rendering with Standalone (RMB in viewport> .vrscene exporter > Export and Render)?
