  • Lens breathing with DOF VrayCamera, where is the setting gone? (I need to deactivte it)

    Hello,
I can't see anymore the lens breathing setting in the vray camera.
I just want to add to an existing animation DOF.

    Thanks for help

There currently isn't one, you need the max physical camera for that.
    It'll come soonish, however.

      Thanks.
so in my case today it is fine not to have it, I just thought it would now change the size by using DOF but it seems to keep the size.

I have now realized it is "breathing", which I have to solve somehow.
So I guess it is only the scale changing and not the focal length.

        - What is the difference to a Max physical camera? If I parent it under the vray camera, will it give me the exact same results?

        Thanks again

beside lens breathing (missing for us), and some minor difference in the way exposure is detected/applied (they use the post effect, still.), they are functionally identical.

I seem to recall that if you switch the VRay camera to use FOV rather than focal length the breathing goes away.

It is indeed very annoying and not useful to us for VFX if the amount can’t be adjusted (because different lens breath quite differently in the real world). We usually end up simulating that in the post if needed.
