  • Vray5. 2x vrayies has some errors in MAXscript

For example, ExcludeList and includelist and inclexcltype

I don't know if there are any more mistakes.

    These are normal at 5.14
And this error has never occurred in previous versions
This problem leads to abnormal problems in 3D scripts made with this function

    Figure 1 shows 5.14 and Figure 2 shows 5.21

I can confirm it's a bug: the properties are shown when using "show", but can't be directly queried. ( VMAX-11718 )

I hope they can solve this problem soon.
I haven't used the method you said.
      How to show?

        Code:
        show $
will print out all the properties of the selected node (in your case above, the ies light).

          Ha ha ha ha
          OK, I may have misunderstood
I thought you used the show command to query the ExcludeList
          Look forward to repair
          Otherwise, my tools are unavailable

I'm not sure if the VRay techs know this already?
How should I let them know about this problem?
Keep this session up to date?

This is our internal reference for the bug.
If you see something analogous to this in a thread, then you can be sure the bug has been filed, and the devs are aware of it.
In general, however, they are ever present on the forum, and read everything with great attention.
They just don't reply, as they're way too busy, normally, with other stuff.

This is now fixed, in v 31180.
Check the stable nightlies in a day or two: if a build with that number, or above, appears, download it to get the issue resolved (at the time of writing, the latest stable is 31179).

Correction: the build was in a different branch.
The fix will be coming soon enough in the main branch.
For now, the bug is still present.
