  • VRayNormalMap flickering on network renders only

    I have VRayNormalMaps flickering on network renders only. Local renders are fine.
    What could be causing this? My render machines are all identical.

    Hard to say without more information. Does it happen in a particular scene? If yes, could you send it to us (or attach it here)? If not, could you share the reproduction method? Also, which V-Ray and host platform versions do you have installed? Screencaps would be nice as well.

      Thanks.
      I've attached some data. It's not the original file - it's a simple test file - but the same thing is happening. I've included some output frames.
      I'm using V-Ray 4.30.03 build 30952 in max 2020.


      edit: I forgot to add .. this data renders fine locally.

        I've just tried another file that uses only VRaySun as lighting and it's the same - fine locally, flickering on net render.

            Thanks for the provided scene. I rendered it through Deadline (V-Ray 4.30.03, build 31225) and no flickering is present. Which render manager are you using? Are there any errors/warnings?

              Thanks.
              I've also submitted a support ticket that includes the render results in an attachment.

              As far as I can see, there is no error on render. I'm using Backburner 2019.

                Tested it with Backburner as well - no issues. Does it happen in every scene and/or with every normal map? Could you retry with the latest V-Ray NEXT stable build?
