  • issue with VFB refreshing during rendering

I've noticed that during rendering VFB doesn't refresh buckets. I mean - buckets are moving, but image in their place looks still as calculated lightcache. I have to switch to lightmix and back to rgb to refresh already calculated places. Where can be the problem? It is lates version of Vray 5, rendering on bruteforce + lightcache. Sometimes also whole framebuffer is blinking ( appearing and disappearing ) and i can't stop rendering process until it's ended. I don't think it's gpu drivers issue. My hardware is Threadripper 3990, GTX 1080 Ti, Windows 10.

Hi are you rendering with V-Ray CPU or V-Ray GPU?
Can you share a video of the issue with refreshing? If your rendering uses too much memory and it exceeds your available memory for brief moments this could cause such effects.

I'm using Vray CPU. I will make a video once i'm back home. It doesn't exceed memory limit. It takes 90 of 128 GB. And this effect occurs also in light scenes.

Did you probably refresh Lens Effects or Sharpen/Blur manually? This will also cause that behavior.

To be honest - i have no idea. I added lens effects and sharpen layers and leave it as it was. Should i change something in those layers?

Here's the video. Is it because of Lens Effects and sharpen/blur layer on? https://we.tl/t-zdGwhZR8L0 I'm sharing it by wetransfer because of 2MB attachment limitation.

HI I tested this in a simple scene and it is not reproducing. Is this issue happening only in this scene or in any scene that you have created?

Well, it happens in one full project, that's for sure. I haven't checked other. I have updated Vray from NEXT to 5 during the project. Maybe this is causing problems? I will check other scenes.
