    hi together,

please have a look into it. thanks!

Not at all on my side.
If you have a high-resolution image, with many render elements, that may equate to a big file size.
And depending on where it gets saved, it could become slow.
    Could you be more specific?
For example, what's the image size, and what is the speed of the drive it's being saved to? (f.e.: 210 MB on a platter drive will take at least 7 seconds, assuming it's out of cache and writing at disk sped of 30MB/s.)

      Hi Lele,

we also used this workflow to save the image in that way from the framebuffer to networkdrive over 10Gbit connection. and yes it is correct that our file sizes are up to 2GB each frame becaue of high resolution and channels but we can compare it to the vray 5 version before that it is way more slower with the vray 6 version, even it is a smaller file size, it seams at the end of the saing process the framebuffer/max or whatever is wainting for anything...

it happens on all workstation and is not related to any specified scene...

      bye

        Ah, thankyou.
The detail of the comparison with v5 is very helpful.
        We'll look into it.

Thanks so much for the report.
The issue is real, it's more prominent in some specific situation, and a fix is being researched.

                You well did!
The devs found the cause (a fix for something else, and some unfortunate combination of factors) and will implement a fix ASAP.
In the meanwhile, the save raw file dialog in the render options is unaffected and saves at full speed.
The result should be exactly the same for image contents if you save an OpenEXR.

how are you saving exactly to bypass the slowdown? does not work at my end for now. 15sec renders are taking ~2mins..

any hint about the cause of this would help I guess.

Through the raw file save dialog in the render settings.
