  • Motion Blur Vastly Different Between IPR and Final

We are seeing a scene where an object that is deformed with bones is rendering with VERY heavy motion blur in the IPR, but renders correctly with a normal render. Tried both VRayCamera and the standard Max camera with the blur controls in the render dialog-- same thing both ways.

    Max 2021 VRay 6.00.04

Is this a known bug? I should be able to send a scene to support.

Hi could you send us a simple scene that reproduces the issue? I tested one that consists of a sphere and a dome light but there are no differences in motion blur between IPR and Production rendering.

Does motion blur work in IPR for MAX, but not Maya?

I think it has to do with the Skin modifier. The scene was exported from Maya as an FBX and then imported into Max. When things calm down next week I will see if I can find the particular scene that has the issue and send something your way. Thanks.
