VRay 5.2 Scene Converter Handler Exception

I'm getting this handler exception when using the VRay Scene Converter.
How do I go about this, and is there way to identify the object/materials that are at fault?

This is something else, not dependent on what is being converted: the max version checking seems broken, but in a creative way.
Is the vrutils.ms file in its original form?

It's a clean VRay install no edits to the ms file.
However, we use a lot of custom scripts, not sure if that has an effect.
Can I get a clean/new ms file to compare?

The file is in the path written in the Maxscript editor bar.
If you make a copy of that file, and then reinstall V-Ray, you should be able to compare the two.
