  • Viewports break after rendering with DR/Distributed Rendering

Since V-Ray Next I've been having this problem where rendering with DR causes my viewports to totally get bugged and all objects and even viewport labels disappear. Please check the screenshot below. The only way to solve the issue is to close Max and start it again, but the issue occurs again if I render another image with DR turned on. This really hurts my productivity when I have a lot of renders to do with DR turned on since I have to constantly close and open Max. I've had this issue since I had my previous workstation which had totally different hardware parts from my current one so I think it's not hardware related.

HI thanks for posting. Is this issue happening in every scene even a new simple scene? Please try reinstalling your V-Ray and 3ds Max.

Hi, Vladimir. Yes, it happens in pretty much every scene as long as I do enough renders with distrubuted rendering turned on. It could be the first render, it could be after the 5th. I'm currently using a brand new Ryzen 7950x PC due to a problem with the one from the signature. All hardware components are different on this PC and the problem still appears so I doubt that reinstalling V-Ray and 3ds Max will fix it.

          Hi,
This issue still persists. Unfortunately, I won't be able to give you remote access to the PC. Is there another way to resolve this issue? This has been happening for years now and it's extremely annoying to have to restart 3ds Max after every other rendering I do with DR on.
